A Healthy Smile for Life

Visiting the dentist regularly and taking care of your teeth and gums between checkups is so important to your overall health!  At your checkup appointment, we not only will provide you with thorough dental care, but we will show you how to maintain your smile at home with the right products.  Whether you are looking for a new toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, or mouthrinse, be sure to always choose one that has been approved by the American Dental Association (ADA).  Ask Dr. Farmer or her staff for more details on which products are right for you and your family!

Dental Cleanings and Regular Checkups

At your regular checkups, your dentist and hygienist will:
  • Examine for any problems that you may not feel or see
  • Check for cavities or areas that are likely to develop cavities
  • Inspect your gums for gingivitis and signs of periodontal disease
  • Clean and polish your teeth

Visiting the dentist every six months gives you the chance to catch oral problems when they are small and help prevent new ones.  It also allows you to talk with your dentist about any questions you may have about your oral health, and find out about new treatments that may benefit your smile.
